High School Summer Training Program

2024 High School Summer Training Program (STP)

The 2024 Summer Train Program (STP) is offered and run by Mill City Hockey LLC.  On-ice sessions will be run by Mound Westonka High School Boys Head Coach Jeff DeGree and include other members of his high school coaching staff.  The program will focus on skill development and preparation to play high school hockey.

Coach DeGree has over 30 years of coaching experience at all levels of hockey.  His experience includes six years of college coaching and recruiting.  He has also been a scout at the highest levels of junior hockey in the US.

Ice sessions will run from June 10 – July 27 (no sessions the week of July 1st) and be on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Players will skate in two groups.  The first group will be comprised mostly of returning HS players skating from 9:00-10:00 am.  The second group will be comprised mostly of incoming high school players and players who will be second year bantams during the 2024-25 season.  They will skate from 10:15-11:15 am. All sessions will be at Thaler Sports Center.

The cost of the STP is $600 ($300 for goalies).   Please register using the above link.  Siblings receive half price on the second registration. Scholarships and sibling discounts are available upon request.

All players are also encouraged to participate in the Westonka Performance Program (WPP).  Players can register for WPP at https://www.westonkawhitehawks.org/wpp-summer-registration.
